In the early 1980s, Chinooks expertise was called upon for an emergency repair to a steam valve on the ice breaker Canadian Coast Guard Louis St. Laurent. The valve was air freighted to Calgary where it was completely Stellite reconditioned by Chinook. On return, it was immediately installed, successfully returning the massive ice breaker to service. |
